Alternatively, head into Whitby for the whole day and try your luck at the Eskape Whitby escape room, take in the fabulous views from Whitby Abbey or sample a handcrafted gin at the Whitby Distillery. Further afield, make a beeline to Scarborough (18.5 miles) to take a surfing lesson, go dolphin-spotting on a boat trip or take a stroll around the town’s medieval castle.
Step inside and head up the attractive wooden stairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a stylish and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room. Concertina sliding doors allow natural light to flood this gorgeous space, where you’ll feel immediately at home. Whip up a meal for two and enjoy a romantic start to the evening in the smart dining area, before retiring to the lounge to snuggle up in front of the wood burner. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find a king-size bedroom – also with fabulous concertina doors – downstairs on the ground floor. Rounding off the ground-floor layout you’ll find a chic en-suite bathroom.
