It’s the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends in search of some peace and tranquillity in an unbeatable coastal location. Sitting just 5 miles south of Whitby and 15 miles north of Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay is steeped in history. The village is a delight to explore, with its brooding cliffs and its quaint charming cottages that spill right down to the edge of the sea. Take a stroll along the beautiful beach and you may be lucky enough to find some fossils. Later in the day, lose yourself in the village’s winding cobbled streets, where there are plenty of cafes and pubs to take a break in. Alternatively, head inland to Sneaton Forest (12 miles) to gaze upon the famous Falling Foss waterfall, or if you are feeling particularly adventurous, check the tide timetable and walk 3 miles along the beach to Ravenscar. Further afield, head into Scarborough and take a boat trip to meet the seals, go surfing or treat yourself to some fish and chips.
Step inside this characterful cottage and make your way up to the first floor. There, you’ll find a welcoming lounge/dining room with a pretty feature fireplace. Make yourself at home and then head to the kitchen. You’ll find everything you need to create a culinary feast for your loved ones. Get the gang together to eat at the dining table and then while the night away by the fireplace in the lounge area. When it’s time for bed, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from – a double on the ground floor that has an en-suite WC, and a twin on the second floor. A chic family bathroom on the second floor rounds off the cottage’s layout.
Outside, you’ll discover a lovely patio with a table and chairs – a truly beautiful place to pour yourself a drink and take in the stunning sea views. The Cottage is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
