Property code: OC-R565

A stunning choice of 19th-century accommodation in the fantastic fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, perfect for four adults or a family of six to explore adventure on the Yorkshire coast. Robin Hood’s Bay is a traditional seaside village with cobbled streets, independently run businesses and the chance to appreciate a fresh catch of the day in plenty of pubs and eateries. Follow a waymarked pathway along the coast up to the neighbouring town of Whitby (5.5 miles) to find characterful cobbled streets, a historic Abbey and marvellous sandy beaches to be enjoyed. A little further away lies Scarborough (16 miles), a more built-up town with plenty of seaside attractions for children to appreciate, including a waterpark and SEALife centre.

Enter via the ground floor entrance hall to find stunning Edwardian tiling and a staircase leading up to the first floor and the apartment entrance. You’ll first pass by a half-landing with WC and a handy shower room with rainfall shower unit and WC. Step through into the spacious lounge with comfortable seating, a gas coal fire, TV/DVD and fantastic sea views. Next door sits a similarly spacious dining room with feature fireplace, a record player and bookcases overflowing with games, books and classic records to be enjoyed when spending a night in. Be sure to stock up on locally sourced produce before heading home each day, venturing into the galley kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine to get cooking. Completing the first floor is another family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Head up to the second floor to find three lovingly presented bedrooms. The first is a master double with feature fireplace, the second is a cosy twin with stunning sea views, and the third and final bedroom is a bunk bedroom that's best suited to children.

Whilst this apartment doesn’t offer private garden space, Robin Hood’s Bay is just a short walk away with golden sands and a blue sea for swimming. On-street parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Great stay. 1 parking space which is so useful In Robin Hoods Bay. Apartment. Lots of space for 4 people. Quite a few stairs so if limited mobility. Maybe look at Garden Appartment downstairs. Kitchen and dining room very good. All the utensils and equipment in the kitchen you would need. Kitchen is small but has all you need. Great size dRead moreining room for family/group meals. Front room has two two seater sofas so a max of 4 adults I would say. Shower in bathroom so good. Lower pressure in one over the bath in the bathroom but folk who wanted bath used that one. Bedrooms are ideal. Small Double was very comfortable. Tight space down on side but it does the job. Twin beds I was told were very comfy and the bunk beds did the job for the smaller people. Great stay and will Definitely be back Note. It gets very bright in double bedroom. Curtains dont block much light. Take a eye mask Hide

Holbrooks house is wonderful . We stayed over the new year as a group of 6, and had the most brilliant stay. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped. Perfect location with space for 1 car on the drive and road parking available too. We'll definitely be back xx

A great house in a fantastic location. We had everything we needed inside the house for our family and we were only a 10 minute walk away from the beach, shops and pubs. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for two nights, arrived very late on the first with two tired children to find the place hasnt been cleaned since the last occupants. Beds stripped, but laundry still in the rooms, dog hairs everywhere and dirty bathroom. I called the number, but as office hours. The problem could not be solved till the morning leaving me to clean what weRead more were going to use and make the beds. Original Cottages did not return my message by first thing, so I called the number that was another company, but was in the info pack in the house. They said the cleaner had missed the date and would come, granted they did come and did a great job ready for our second night. But by that point half the trip was done. It was a simple mistake but one that can be simply avoided by having multiple checks and communication within the company. Cottage is lovely, spacious and great with a parking space outside. Nice place, poorly managed. No logs for the lovely open fire provided either, which was a shame especially in winter. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Weve dealt with the problems and the issue has now been resolved. Hide

Property is in a good position and has a parking space which is useful in RHB. Otherwise its looking quite tired and in need of a refresh. No working microwave when we arrived and it wasnt replaced until 2 days later. Property is advertised for 6 people but only space for 5 on the sofas in the lounge? No towels provided. In my opinion shouldRead more not be graded as 4 star, we have stayed in much better properties. Hide

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house was brilliantly positioned in Robin Hood's Bay, and the views from the bedroom window were fantastic - I even spotted dolphins swimming by one morning! Very handy to have a parking space. Very comfortable, and had everything I needed. Would definitely return.
