Stroll to the clifftop, less than a quarter mile away, to reach the beach, where you can walk to the pretty village of Sandsend (2 miles), then catch the bus back to a stop, just outside the mill. Explore Whitby’s independent and specialist shops, such as those selling the famous Whitby Jet, or go for one of the many boat trips that run from the harbour. This picture-postcard landmark is the perfect spot to watch the sunset before enjoying a drink or meal at one of the seaside town’s lively bars and restaurants. Jump on the historic steam train that runs from Whitby to view the stunning landscape of the North York Moors National Park (2.5 miles).

Union Mill was excellent accommodation spotless and as was described and is in a great location with private parking which is a real bonus for accommodation in Whitby , we visited a lot of places of interest on the local bus service , Robin Hood Bay , Goatlhland , Sandsent , Saltburn also some excellent restaurants but far to many fish & chip shopsRead more had an excellent meals at the Fourseasons Restaurant , Humblepie & the Hart Inn would definitely book Union Mill should we return.
