Double-fronted and detached, this family-friendly cottage sleeps four and is set on a historic road named Cliff Street in Whitby, Yorkshire. It was originally known as Cliff Lane and is one of the oldest streets on Whitby's West Cliff. Less than 1 mile away is the pretty Whitby Harbour and half a mile away is the bustling shopping street of Flowergate. There, you have a supermarket, charity shops, fine goods and antique shops to explore.
This cosy yet spacious home has a seaside-inspired interior with various pieces of art and trinkets for a pop of colour and character. In traditional cottage style, as you climb the external steps and step through the front door, you enter the living area straightaway. It’s an open-plan design with a three-seater sofa and armchair set around a rustic coffee table and a Smart TV with DVD and Bluetooth speakers. Around the corner is the kitchen, complete with a round dining table that seats four and all you need to rustle up some family meals. There’s one bedroom on the ground floor and this has a wooden double bed, TV/DVD and a feature mirror. The final room downstairs is the cloakroom with a WC. Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms, one master suite with a metal double bed and TV and one with a single bed, both offering beautiful views of Whitby Abbey and the sea. The master suite has a handy dressing table set in front of the window for natural light while applying makeup and an en-suite with a bath and WC. The single bedroom offers a wooden hanging rail to prevent clothes from being crumpled during your stay. The final room upstairs is the main bathroom with a large shower and WC.
Outside, there is a spacious decking area. There’s a brick-built BBQ, shaded table and benches, plus two deck chairs to bask in. It’s a great secluded sun-trap and ideal for al fresco dining during the summer months.
