Groups and families will love this three-bedroom cottage’s central Whitby location with cafes, restaurants and the seaside’s famous boutiques on the doorstep. Get your fix of the outdoors at the surrounding coast and hills where you can walk, cycle, fish or try heart-pumping water sports like surfing; before putting your feet up in the many chill-out areas made for group relaxation in this welcoming abode.
Stone steps lead into your home from home. Relax in the open-plan, ground-floor living area with its modern kitchen (coffee-lovers will appreciate the Tassimo machine), and four-seater dining table. The lounge space is cosy with its slate flooring, solid oak furniture and wood burner in a stone hearth. Climb the staircase to find yet more places to relax: the first-floor lounge features plenty of plush seating around the cottage’s second wood burner. Grab something from the bookshelf or switch on the TV and make yourself at home. Handily, the bathroom is also located on this floor. A second staircase leads to the small bunk bedroom and the double room that’s extra homely thanks to the TV and the original cast-iron feature fireplace. The top floor attic (reached via a steep staircase unsuitable for children 5 and under) features zip-and-link twin beds and dual-aspect windows. Colourful, over-the-bed bunting adds to the fun, den-like feel.
The outdoor courtyard, surrounded by a wall has enough furniture for the whole group to enjoy some al fresco dining. The rattan chairs and small table are ideal for morning coffees and nightcaps; while the wooden table and benches are the perfect picnic spot.
