This light and spacious mezzanine flat is on the cliff top in a quiet area but close enough to Whitby town to enjoy all the action. Tastefully decorated with a well-equipped kitchen, it has everything you could need for a romantic getaway. Stroll along the nearby sandy beach, under 0.5 miles away, or combine it with a trip to the bustling harbour (0.5 miles). Uncover Whitby’s history with a wander around its many gothic streets and a visit to medieval Whitby Abbey and Museum, 1 mile and 0.5 miles from the apartment respectively. A stay in Whitby isn’t complete without having fish and chips at least once treat yourself at one of the many chip shops, cafes, pubs or restaurants in town.

The communal entrance and hallway lead to the apartments' front door and then into a hallway with storage space for coats and shoes. The living room is dominated by the large, arched feature window, which provides the flat with amazing light and views. The open-plan living area has plenty of room for relaxing and watching TV or snuggling up in front of the electric wood stove-effect fire, and a dining area just for two. It joins on to the kitchen and stairs take you up to up the bathroom and mezzanine bedroom – a large double with a mezzanine to the living space and lots of natural light.

There’s off-road parking for one car and a decked patio at the front of the property, which is accessed from the communal area, with a bistro table and chairs, perfect for a drink in the evening and enjoying the summer sun.

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. Don't let first impressions (the communal entrance hall) put you off, it is clean and cosy once you get inside. Previous issues mentioned in reviews have been resolved, (the scaffolding is no longer there and the sofa has been cleaned). Despite being in a huge building which contains a pub and a chRead moreinese restaurant, it is very quiet and you would never know they were there. The location is great - very quiet and an easy walk into Whitby, close to Staithes, Sandsend, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay etc and the beach is directly across the road. It is perfect for dog owners! The only disappointment was that it lacks the added extras that would make this feel like luxury accommodation and it doesn't give the impression that you are particularly valued as a customer. There is no welcome pack, no toiletries and not a single bauble to be seen, (I was there for the whole of Christmas and New Year - all of the other holiday lets that I could see were decorated for Christmas). The bathroom is a DIY disaster but clean! All in all, a good property, I would stay again if I was heading to that area. Hide

Sandy shore is well situated just 10mins walk to the centre of Whitby sparkling clean everything you need in the kitchen cosy home from home we will definitely stay there again good value for money

Everything was fine but sofa and chair need attention. Pity about scaffold could be hazzard but work has to be done,other than that had alovely time thanks.

The cleanliness was good but the sofa and chair was really grubby. And the rest of the low scores refer to the lack of communication and the fact that the property was a building site.

Disappointed that I wasnt told about the scaffolding to the apartment two weeks before we arrived you should state on the website about the scaffolding of the building before booking as it disturbed us a lot waking my dog up in the morning and us as well constants banging which was very destructive when your trying to relax on holiday. In the photoRead more when booking it shows that you have a bottle of wine/ champagne on arrival this was not available to us. The door of the bathroom catch was broken. The cleanliness of the apartment was incredible no complaints at all it was lovely. We was told it would be easy to find parking had to call on arrival where to park was told bay 3 which turned out to be the wrong parking space so we could have gotten charge for that so my finance had to move his car. Overall not very pleased with the building but location was lovely and cleanliness of the apartment absolutely amazing. Hide

The only reason I marked a 4 for equipment is due to the shower head being loose so I had to wedge it high in order to have a shower. Everything else was amazing.
