This spacious stone-built property sleeps six guests across four bedrooms and enjoys views towards Harmby Moor in the Yorkshire Dales. The popular market town of Leyburn with its quirky shops, Dales pubs and tea rooms is only 0.5 miles away. Bolton Castle (7 miles) makes for a great family day out as there are events held here on most days. On the days there aren’t, there’s still medieval excitement including bird displays, archery, wild boar feeding and a maze. For those who want to explore the luscious countryside, complete the 6-mile circular Leyburn Shawl walk, which starts less than 1 mile away. You’ll take in fantastic views of Wensleydale and Pen Hill on this stroll and it’s likely you’ll not see another soul, apart from the many sheep that graze in the area. Why not extend the walk and take in Harmby Waterfall too? Walk over the steppingstones if you are brave enough and walk right up to and under this impressive cascade.
There are three steps up through the entrance to the hallway where you can store your coats and boots. Enter the lounge and pick up a book or just relax on the sofas or the chair and watch the Smart TV whilst the wood burner effect electric fire warms your toes. From here, there are doors to the kitchen/diner where food can be rustled up and then eaten together. There are French doors to the garden here and also on this floor is a cloakroom with a WC. All four bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size with an en-suite; a double room; and two single rooms. There is also a family bathroom on this floor.
Out through the French doors, you’ll find an enclosed lawned garden and a patio area furnished with a table and chairs for six.
