For a day at the races, Ripon Racecourse (4 miles) is a must. Ripon itself (4.5 miles) is a small but beautiful cathedral city with plenty to keep you entertained. Take a walk along the canal, pick up some gifts and groceries at the market, visit the Druid’s Temple or have some quiet time in the impressive cathedral.
Enter into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to find an extremely tastefully furnished area with comfortable seating. This room has stunning views over the surrounding countryside and French doors that open onto the patio. This room has a vaulted ceiling and wooden beams and is a relaxing spot to watch the Smart TV or a DVD. Prepare your dinners in the kitchen nearby and eat together at the table whilst still enjoying those mesmeric views. If you’ve brought your bikes with you, there’s storage for four bikes in the utility room. Both bedrooms have zip-and-link beds which can be made up as king-size beds or twins, and the family bathroom is nearby too.

If you are feeling energetic there are plenty of walks & cycle routes from the doorstep, for those who prefer a more leisurely stroll, why not visit Ripon or Harrogate and meander around the many shops or cafes, with Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal and Newby Hall and Gardens only a short drive away there is plenty to keep you busy.
