Experience the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales from this charming country cottage in the village of Bellerby. Pick up supplies from the bustling market town of Leyburn (2 miles), which has a popular Friday market as well as a selection of shops, tearooms and traditional pubs. The vibrant market town of Richmond (7.5 miles) is another great place for shopping and dining out, and is also home to a castle, theatre and a couple of interesting museums. If you fancy some outdoor adventures, you could head to Aysgarth Falls (9.5 miles), How Stean Gorge (22 miles) or Adrenalin North Yorkshire (10 miles). Or delve into some fascinating local history, with Bolton Castle (7.5 miles), Easby Abbey (8.5 miles) and Kiplin Hall (15 miles) all nearby.

Follow the steps to the front door of this inviting home and let yourselves into the spacious hallway. Switch on the TV in the lounge and relax on one of the leather sofas in the cosy lounge. Dinner can be prepared and cooked with ease in the spacious kitchen and savoured in the dining room, which looks out onto the village green and features a large oak table and chairs beneath a characterful beamed ceiling. There is also a handy WC on the ground floor. Upstairs, you can choose between two double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room), and a twin bedroom, plus there is a bathroom with a shower over a P-shaped bath.

To the rear of the cottage is a patio area with a wooden bench where you sit out with a morning cup of coffee as the sun begins to rise.

The cottage was in an ideal location for driving out to the surrounding villages and towns with Leyburn only 1.5 - 2 miles away for any shopping, eating drinking. It was very spacious enough inside with the lounge having 3 settees for us all to sit on ( 5 people) with also a large dining room and table in the next room with a joining door for the kRead moreitchen. The cottage was very warm which we were grateful for after the icy temperatures outside. The bedrooms were also all large enough to move around in comfort and also with a large family bathroom upstairs as well as the en-suite in one of the bedrooms. The small toilet under stairs also came in very handy. The parking at the rear is big enough for 3 cars and is only approximately 15 feet from the back door for unloading all your items,suitcases or shopping. We all enjoyed our stay here with everyone we met being very friendly towards us including the villagers in the local pub "The Cross Keys". Hide

Great cottage with plenty of space. Garden area is not enclosed so can be tricky if you don't have well behaved dogs. Great location for walking etc. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. We were three ladies and a young baby with two dogs and we had a wonderful week.

A well appointed & comfortable cottage in an idyllic village. It enjoys off-road parking & has a pleasant patio seating area, However it is beside a busy main road & suffers from the attendant traffic noise, especially in a morning. Inside, the property is a little bit gloomy.

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable cottage with off road parking. It is on the main road, with a surprisingly noisy early morning rush hour. For those with mobility issues, there are 3 or 4 steep steps up to the house, with no hand rail.

We had a lovely stay at Myrtle Cottage, while in Yorkshire for a wedding, and would definitely recommend it. The cottage is very well appointed and more spacious than it looks in the pictures. The location is great in a lovely little village and with access to local walks. It would make a really good place to stay to explore North Yorkshire.

Absolutely loved this cottage. Location amazing, very quiet. a short drive to Leyburn with local shops, and a 10 minute drive to Richmond, if you wanted a big Tesco. Absolutely breath taking places to visit within driving distance, we found this cottage to be quite Central . Cottage was well equipped with everything you need, i loved cooking oRead moren the gas range, plenty of room for family dinners. I would defiantly return, this is one of my favourite holidays in England. Hide

Great cottage. Lovely aspect in a quiet village with quick links to leyburn. The cottage itself was lovely and spacious with 3 large bedrooms and a good sitting area dining area and good kitchen. My friends and I really enjoyed our weekend here and would definitely return

A very spacious property, well equipped and in a good location for walking. Nearest town is also walkable across pretty farmland. No amenities without a 40 minute walk or a car ride. Local pub doesn't do food any more and owner is selling so may not be there in future. Cottage was lovely and very comfy beds, showers good, kitchen well equipped for Read morecooking. The property is in a lovely village however, it is on a main road which we found very noisy. The back of the house had a nice setaing area. The pub is in the process of closing down so we feel this needs to be reviewed. on the information. The house was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped. We found the matresses hard.
