This pretty stone cottage on the outskirts of Goathland is perfect for a couple’s break to the North York Moors. Formerly a bar, used by the cast of Heartbeat, it has now been lovingly converted into a cosy home from home. The centre of Goathland is less than a mile away, where there’s a tearoom, shops and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; the station itself was the location for Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter films. Jump aboard to travel to Whitby or Pickering by steam train. Further afield, the Yorkshire coast at Whitby is less than 10 miles away, or you can explore the inspiring landscapes of the wider North York Moors.
Take one step up to the front door, which leads into the porch. The kitchen/diner is off the porch and is well-equipped with everything you need for special meals in. There is also a breakfast table and stools in the bright bay window, and a handy cloakroom nearby. Also on this floor is the lounge; take one step up and enter this relaxing room which has ample comfortable seating, a TV and a wood burner. Climb the stairs to the first floor where there are two bedrooms: a double and a single. From the double room, and one step down, is the dressing room which leads through to the bathroom with a walk-in shower and a WC.
Step out from the lounge to the patio which has a table and chairs for dining alfresco and soaking up the rural ambience.
