A good cottage for 2 in a beautifull region and village. Some small adaptions could ameliorate the comfort level (mirror in the bathroom, lamps with a higher lumen score on the ground floor)

Being regular visitors to Gunnerside we have stayed in a few cottages in the village but from the moment we entered Heather View it felt like home. Situated in a slightly elevated position and off the main through road it has lovely views across the village to the dales. A really quaint and cosy little cottage which we hope to return to again and aRead moregain. Hide

Although we see room for some improvements, we enjoyed very much our stay at Heather View. Cozy cottage, perfect location in beautiful village with great pub. Walks from the doorstep.

Heather view is a lovely house in a very nice place, Gunnerside. From here you can make several walks in the surrounding area, which is beautiful. We stayed here for two weeks in June and had a great time. We warmly recommend the village pub The Kings Head for great meals and drinks. The staff is really friendly and we felt very welcome.

Pleasant, quaint, old-fashioned cottage which felt much as one would expect a Dales cottage to be - has not been overly renovated. Well equipped and very comfy beds, lovely views from the window. There are dog walks within easy distance of the cottage which were much appreciated.
