This unique bungalow in the beautiful village of Staithes is a welcoming home away from home on the Yorkshire coast. Staithes itself is famous for its exceptional beauty and charm – two attributes that make it popular with artists and photographers. Sitting between the seaside towns of Whitby (10 miles) and Saltburn (9.5 miles), it’s ideally located on Yorkshire’s Jurassic Coast with a beach 0.5 miles away. The North York Moors is nearby so you can spend days visiting picturesque villages like Danby (9.5 miles), or Goathland (16.5 miles). The beautiful Goathland station there took centre stage as Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film.
Step inside and kick off your shoes in the spacious hallway – there’s plenty of storage space for all of your outdoor gear. Make your way through to the lovely lounge/dining room and take a moment in front of the Scandinavian-style wood burner to make yourself at home. The high ceilings and wood panel detailing add a sense of spaciousness to this sociable area. When it’s time to eat, you’ll find everything you need to let your culinary skills shine in the adjoining kitchen area. Get all of your loved ones together to eat at the large table in the dining area, and then head through to the light and bright conservatory for a peaceful after-dinner drink as you take in the garden views. When it’s time for bed, you have two lovely rooms to choose from – a double and a twin (the twin beds can be converted into a double on request). A stylish family bathroom rounds off the cottage’s layout.
Step outside and you’ll find beautiful gardens to the front and rear of the property – the perfect place to enjoy a little stargazing before bedtime.
