The village is also home to the Ryedale Folk Museum, a great place to visit for a family day out with picnic areas and farm animals. Travel 9 miles to the superb North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Take a trip on the heritage railway that runs from Pickering to the coastal town of Whitby. If you prefer to explore on foot or bike, there are plenty of routes into the national park from the village.
Head inside this characterful cottage through the rear garden and garage. Take one step up into the practical kitchen which has everything you need to throw together a hearty meal. Underfloor heating will keep you warm throughout the colder months. Head into the lounge/diner where you can eat together at the table before taking a seat on the comfortable sofas. Flick on your favourite shows on the Smart TV, and get cosy in front of the wood burner. Heading down the hallway, you will find the bathroom with a walk in shower, heated towel rail, and WC. Upstairs on the first floor are the two bedrooms. The first is a wonderful super-king with plenty of storage, and the second bedroom has full-size bunk beds, ideal for the children of the group.
At the front of the house, through the French doors, is a fabulous, enclosed garden. Lined with mature shrubbery and beds centered around a large lawn, and a patio with seating, this is a wonderful space to enjoy an evening tipple as the sun sets. To the rear is a second outdoor space, a patio garden with a bench.
