We had issues on the first evening which we reported. The cleanliness left an awful lot to be desired, both in general and of soft furnishings. The shower really needs two more curtains to give a comfortable showering area.

The overall cleanliness was excellent however the sofa was really filthy and we didnt even want to sit on it. The shower is very weak and the shower curtain itself not great. Kitchen was excellent and bedrooms were lovely.

Comfortable well equipped cottage situated in a quiet part of the village. Short walk to market place and shops. Lovely views at the rear of property. Enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday in 1, Rose Cottage, Hawes, especially the position of the cottage which was close to all amenities in Hawes, and yet looking out to the Dales at the back and very quiet and peaceful. Access to walks was very good. We had one or two small issues which might help for you to know about, but did not want to post on a reviRead moreew or in the visitors' book which might put other people off booking. The main one was the bath with drench shower over: though very nice-looking, it was impractical, especially for older people. It was not easy to prevent water splashing over, with the controls positioned outside the shower curtain (which was not very nice to use in itself as it clung round you if you had it properly sealed). A hand-held shower attachment included would be better than the simple drench shower above. There was no handle for climbing in and out. There was no towel rail or hooks apart from hooks over the door which those 5' 2" and under could not reach at all! If these issues were addressed, the cottage would be rated very good. In addition the neighbours were very friendly. Thank you Hide

The cottage had everything we needed to make us feel comfortable and at home. The views were fantastic and although the property was in the centre of town it was so quiet. We loved laying in bed and listening to the sheep bar. Would definitely recommend this property.
