This delightful stone cottage is a homely and peaceful base for families and friends, with breathtaking views of the Esk Valley and endless walks for outdoor enthusiasts. Situated near the quaint Yorkshire village of Sleights, there is a village shop and pub to meet the locals. For a day at the beach, the seaside town of Whitby is just 5 miles away with golden beaches and plenty of amenities. The North York Moors are also within easy reach, with Sleights Moor just over 2 miles away. Alternatively, you can enjoy a refreshing stroll along the banks of the River Esk, less than 1 mile away.

Enter this charming cottage and feel instantly at home amidst the exposed wooden beams and thoughtful decor. Nestle down in the spacious lounge in front of the open fire and put a family film on the Smart TV. Alternatively, put some relaxing music on the Bluetooth speakers using the Apple iPad as you admire the views out of the patio doors. Down two steps you will find the bright kitchen/diner with an additional seating area and coffee table to look out over the balcony. The kitchen is perfectly equipped to create feasts for the family, with an American-style fridge/freezer, an ice dispenser, a coffee machine and breadmaker. Off the lounge, you will also find the first bedroom with its own Smart TV and feature fireplace, as well as an en-suite with a walk-in rainfall shower that also has a hand-held shower head. Finally, on the ground floor, there is a convenient cloakroom with WC and laundry facilities. We had a lovely time thank you so much. The Piggery is fantastic although the upstairs bedrooms are very, very small. Great if it's just one person in each - which it wasnt. A tad on the expensive side - the most weve ever paid for one week and weve stayed in equally fabulous places. 9.30am is a ridiculously early check out - never had to check outRead more anywhere so early on the day of leaving. Overall though a great place and the views are priceless. If possible, could I request a refund for one of the dogs? We paid for two but heartbreakingly my lovely dog Eric died suddenly a couple of days before. ?? Hide
