A luxurious studio apartment finished to high standards; this is the perfect countryside retreat for couples or solo travellers. Located within the North York Moors National Park, some of the country's best walking and cycling trails are on your doorstep. The typical moors village of Grosmont is 2.5 miles away and is home to the steam engines of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Sleights offers a traditional butcher, bakery, deli, seafood restaurant and a couple of country pubs. The ever-popular seaside town of Whitby is 4 miles away, where you can experience classic seaside fun such as sandcastle building and crabbing. Whitby holds a wealth of attractions, including the world-famous Abbey, historic harbour, and the delightful old town filled with local shops and a superb range of restaurants and tea rooms.

With Farrow and Ball paints, designer fabrics and a generous welcome hamper awaiting your arrival, this property is a cosy home-away-from-home. The accommodation includes a well-equipped kitchen with cream units and granite worktops. The sitting area, cleverly separated from the kitchen by the breakfast bar, has a large sofa and an armchair placed in front of the patio doors so you can enjoy the views of the garden and beyond. The dining table is next to a wood burner which provides a cosy feature, especially on a chilly evening. Entertainment is covered with a large Smart TV. The bedroom area has a fabric sleigh-style pocket sprung bed with luxurious bed linens and throws. The bathroom includes a large bath and a separate shower enclosure with a rainfall shower.

Had a fantastic stay at cowslip retreat. Accommodation was beautifully decorated and to a high standard and well equipped but you do need to take you own sauces, oils etc etc. The views from the patio were outstanding. The pub at the top of the road was unfortunately temporarily closed so we had a walk to the Salmon Leap pub which was a 20 minRead moreute walk, they only have short opening hours 5-10 every day. Bus stop only a 5 minute walk to take you into Whitby. Molly was extremely helpful. I messaged het a few times with questions which she answered straight away. She was there when we arrived and showed us around. Would definitely recommend . Hide

it was beautifully appointed and in an excellent location. A bit pricey, but it's also very good. I really appreciated the quality.
