An attractive stone-walled retreat with stunning scenery and fantastic walks accessible directly from the front door, this would make an ideal cottage for family or friends looking to holiday together in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Located within the rural village of Gayle, Gayle Beck runs through the middle of the village cascading over a series of waterfalls as it travels on its way to the popular market town of Hawes, just 0.5 miles away. Home to the world-famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese and set within a breathtaking landscape, it's no surprise Hawes is one of the top tourist attractions of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are several fantastic gastropubs and restaurants in the area and don't miss the town's Tuesday markets, stocked full of locally sourced produce.

From the courtyard, you enter the property via the ceramic floored garden room featuring rattan furniture and a lofty ceiling with whitewashed beams. A half-glass door leads to a large, fully equipped kitchen/diner with everything a chef could need. The cosy living room has two comfortable sofas, an armchair, Freeview TV and a warming wood burner. Also, on the ground floor is sung with a sofa bed and second TV as well as a cloakroom with WC. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one with a double bed and en-suite shower room and one with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and the additional benefit of countryside views.

Outside is a small courtyard with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun.

One of the cleanest and most comfortable cottages that I've stayed in with loads of room for two (or 4) people to rattle around in.

A real gem of a cottage. Very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished and very well appointed with everything one would wish for, or expect. A credit to the owners and their caretaker. Most certainly would choose this property again. Very happy customer. Thank you.

Excellent accommodation, so much space. Lovely courtyard to sit in too. Beautiful walks from the doorstep. Lots of amenities and places to eat in Hawes, just down the road.

An extremely comfortable cottage, clean, warm and cosy. Plenty of sitting areas for people with different interests (ie, those who didn't want to watch the football!), giving space to relax. Beautifully positioned next to the beck, and an easy 10 minute walk to Hawes, no parking problems!

This was one of the best equipped and most comfortable self-catering places we have styed in (and we have styed in a lot!).. Being in Gayle was much better that staying in Hawes and there were a number of good walks from the house and a lot more without travelling far.

Lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in great location. Perfect place to relax and unwind, a real home from home. Perfect base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Shops and pubs within walking distance. Wensleydale Creamery definitely worth a visit.
