Set in beautiful countryside, this historic two-storey house is in the perfect location for a quiet retreat or an active holiday for a couple, an easy drive from the numerous attractions the Dales have to offer. Less than 25 miles away are Richmond Castle and the market town of Kirkby Stephen with its famous Loki Stone. The picturesque Buttertubs Pass viewpoint can be passed on a drive to Wensleydale, less than 15 miles away, famous for its cheese, and nearby is Swaledale, less than 10 miles away.

This historic cottage retains the characterful details of exposed timber beams and seamlessly blends them with the best of contemporary living. Enter through the hallway and discover the lounge replete with a comfortable sofa in which to relax in front of an electric fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need, and the utility room has a door to the garden. On the first floor are the two bedrooms, one twin with a zip-and-link bed (which can also be arranged as a king-size on request) and an en-suite shower room, and a single room.

Outside, there's a patio area at the front and an enclosed garden at the rear where you can enjoy the peaceful views.

We loved this cottage. It had character, it was well equipped, super clean, comfortable and the location was stunning. If youre looking for a quiet, restful holiday in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales then this is your place.

Lovely cottage on a working farm. Clean, comfortable and well equipped with fantastic views. Friendly hosts. Would recommend if you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy some tranquility.
