A traditional cottage located in Skipton, in the Yorkshire Dales, this is an ideal home for a family or group of friends. Skipton is a charming market town featuring cobbled streets, historic architecture, and plenty of local shops and stores. Learn about the area’s past at the Craven Museum, a 0.5-mile stroll away, and be sure to visit Skipton Castle. This 900-year-old castle is also 0.5 miles from the house and is one of the most complete medieval castles in England. Train enthusiasts will also want to make the 2-mile journey to the Embassy and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Indulge in a high tea as you travel in vintage style through the Yorkshire Dales. Alternatively, it’s less than a mile to the canal where you can hop on a narrow boat and spend an afternoon learning about Skipton’s rich heritage while soaking up the glorious countryside views.

Full of charm, this cottage has a warm and friendly character. Neutral tones and pleasant soft furnishings create a soothing effect and, despite the central location, the inside is wonderfully quiet. The open-plan living areas are cheerful and inviting and you’ll soon be kicking off your shoes and relaxing on the plump sofa. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with its carpeted floor and countryside views. If you’re in the mood to cook, head to the sleek kitchen. Full of glossy surfaces and modern appliances, it has everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. Happily, it also overlooks the dining room so you can be part of the conversation while you cook. The six-seater table in the dining area invites sociability and, with the open-plan arrangement, you won’t feel cramped. The three bedrooms and bathroom are located on the first floor. The bedrooms feature a mix of single, double, and king-size beds and are all furnished in a comfortable fashion with ambient lighting and artwork on the walls. After a day of exploring the local attractions, you’ll want to freshen up in the immaculate bathroom before sinking into one of the beds.

When the day is done, step outside with a glass of something and take it easy in the courtyard at the rear of the cottage.

A lovely clean cottage, ideally situated if you wanted to walk into Skipton. We chose this cottage as our daughter got married at The Tithe in Bolton Abbey so very convenient

A very comfortable, well equipped and immaculate cottage in the centre of Skipton, but in a quiet location. We appreciated the the little box of provisions on our arrival. Good car parking and in walking distance of local convenience stores. We certainly would have no hesitation returning sometime in the future. Thoroughly recommended
