Ideal for a small family, couples or friends, this comfortable bungalow is in the centre of Hunmanby, a village nestled between the Yorkshire Wolds and the coast, which dates back to the Iron Age and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. The village has a range of shops and places to eat, as well as a nine-hole golf course and a fishing lake. A 2.5-mile walk takes you to the unspoilt Hunmanby Gap beach, and there are connections to longer-distance footpaths, including the Centenary Way and Wolds Way. The popular small town of Filey is just 3.5 miles away, with its glorious beach, one of Yorkshire's finest viewpoints at sunset and daybreak. The town’s Royal Crescent is well worth a visit, too – until the 1950s it was regarded as the most fashionable address in the North of England. Exploring further afield, the resort of Scarborough is 10 miles away, with its Norman castle and yet more golden beaches.

The charming property is all on one level, with a welcoming lounge in which leather sofas surround a smart TV and coal-effect gas fire in a brick-clad fireplace. There is a spacious kitchen and a separate dining room, from which patio doors lead into the conservatory, where you can watch birds feeding in the garden. The two bedrooms, a double and a compact twin, share a family bathroom.

To the rear is a garden with hedging, trees and shrubs, and a patio area where you can spend time dining alfresco or simply enjoying the fresh air.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin
  • 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC
  • Electric cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave

Very well-situated for all places we wanted to visit - RSPB Bempton, Scarborough, Filey, Sewerby, Driffield, Beverley, Whitby and we discovered the beach at Hunmanby Gap with fossils. Also only a short walk to Co-op. Property was warm, well-equipped, off road parking, quiet. Look forward to visiting again.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped apart from not having a cafetiere. The description does say smart TV - this was not the case but fortunately we had taken our own firestick. The bed was adequate but not as comfy as it could have been.

Fine for a property at the cheaper end of the price range. Decor a bit tired, not as good as it looked in the photos. TV not smart as described in the property details.

We were very pleased with our stay at Rosemoor cottage, it was extremely clean and comfortable. Hunmanby is a lovely friendly village and close by is Filey and Scarborough both lovely resorts. We would not hesitate in returning.

The house was a little dated and needed a bit of love but it had a nice garden and was clean and tidy. It was in a great location to explore the Yorkshire coast. We had a lovely week.

The cleanliness of the property inside was excellent, but the entrance to the side door needed a good clean and the outside furniture was very dirty, could not be used unless cleaned. The property was well equipped but we couldn't find any tins for use in the oven.
