For a little more action, head to the seaside town of Whitby just 10 miles down the coast.
The cottage is on a quiet residential street in a row of houses overlooking the sea. The ground floor features a long open-plan space with a kitchen and dining area and a living room with a wood burner-effect electric fire, overlooking the garden and the sea beyond. French doors lead out onto the paved patio. There are two double bedrooms, one with garden and sea views and a useful downstairs bathroom. The first floor houses two small single bedrooms that are perfect for children, one room overlooks the ocean. There is also a shower room upstairs.
The garden is a real feature of the home with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Individual French doors lead to a paved patio area with stairs leading down to a further paved area with outdoor seating. There is then a large lawn with another seating area beyond. There is an open view of fields and then the vast expanse of the sea. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the sea air and sunshine.
