Boasting wonderful views over Whitby, the estuary, and the steam railway line, this contemporary second-floor apartment makes a lovely coastal retreat for a couple or small family looking to explore the Yorkshire coastline and North York Moors. Located south of Whitby Marina, the amenities and attractions of Whitby are within a mile or so, including the historic old town, the golden beach at Whitby Sands, gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey and the Dracula Experience Museum. The steam railway line, visible from the apartment, runs to Pickering (20 miles) in the North York Moors National Park, where there is a number of hiking and cycling routes amid the spectacular scenery.

Enter the property through the ground-floor shared entrance, take the stairs or lift to the second floor and walk along the covered walkway right to the apartment door. Inside, there’s a spacious hallway with doors leading to all rooms. The main living space is a light and bright open-plan room, comprising a lounge, dining area and kitchen. A large corner sofa and snuggle chair offer a comfortable area to relax and watch TV or gaze over the estuary and railway line. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for preparing food while watching the boats in the estuary, to be enjoyed at the family dining table. Down the hall, there are two bedrooms, one with a super-king-size bed and estuary views, and a twin room, along with a family bathroom.

Outside, the property includes a secure mooring spot on the estuary with an electric hook-up, located less than 100 metres from the front door. There’s also a designated parking space.

Lovely apartment with a great view over the marina. Had everything you needed, nothing missed. Warm, clean, comfortable. Lovely bed linen and towels. Welcome pack a lovely touch. WiFi, large TV, would definitely recommend.

Excellent holiday accommodation in every way. Exceptionally clean, ideal rooms layout, comfy beds, ample storage/wardrobes, lovely welcome pack and fabulous location. We had a lovely week at High Tide with our 2 dogs. The apartment is lovely with great views over the estuary and a short walk into the town. Great dog friendly restaurants and cafes in the area. High Tide is a great base for exploring Whitby and surrounding area.

An excellent property in a great location 10 minutes walk to the town. Having on site parking with a reserved space is a great bonus. A great location for dogs with a short Riverside walk directly outside and a nature reserve walk directly accessed from the development. All equipment was in good order and the kitchen has everything you could need.

The apartment was in a fabulous location with lovely views, and it was very well equipped. Communication throughout was really good. The little welcome pack was a lovely touch. However we found the bed uncomfortable and we were quite unhappy with the cleanliness of the bathroom, it really needed a deep clean.

Very comfortable, wine chocolates & crisps a lovely welcoming personal touch. At the end of the metal walkway so no-one passing the windows. Quiet & peaceful location. Have booked with Ingrid Flute/Yorkshire Cottages for the oast 10 years & will continue to do so.
