Step out your front door to explore shops selling artisan products and cafes serving delightful lunches and afternoon teas; head to a quaint inn for an evening meal or return to cook a feast in the lovely kitchen. This handsome house makes for the perfect home base when exploring the Yorkshire Dales. This stone-clad house is on a terrace row in the centre of Hawes, a town famous for Wensleydale cheese, originally made by French monks who settled here in the 16th century. There’s plenty to explore in the village, including the Dales Countryside Museum, set in the town’s Victorian railway station, and Wensleydale Creamery, where you can learn the art of cheese making and enjoy samples in the restaurant afterwards. For further shopping and sightseeing, the bustling market town of Leyburn is 17 miles away and the impressive ruin of the 12th-century Bolton Castle is 13 miles away.
The light and airy living room overlooks the street and has large windows to let in the sunlight as well as a wood burner to ensure you have a cosy stay whatever the season. Find a music system, games and books to keep all ages amused here. The kitchen also looks out to the front of the property and has a dining area to ensure you can cook and eat together. The first floor is home to a double bedroom and an impressive bathroom with a tub and a walk-in shower. From here, continue up the stairs to the second floor, where you’ll find the two other bedrooms, both doubles.
Whilst there is no outside space you are surrounded by glorious countryside.
