Have a relaxing break away from it all in an idyllic village. Explore the surrounding countryside by day, before returning to your romantic little apartment above a tearoom for a peaceful night’s sleep. This contemporary one-bedroom apartment is set in a quaint stone building in the centre of Gunnerside. This little village was once a Norse settlement that expanded into a mining village during the 18th century – The Old Smithy, which is still fully operational, has a fascinating collection of memorabilia from those times. This is a great area for walking and the surrounding meadows are rich with wildflowers in spring and early summer.

Enter the hallway that has storage for coats and shoes and climb the 13 steps up to the apartment. Here you will find the open-plan living and dining area, with a galley kitchen, a cosy electric fire and sofas, and a dining table and chairs for two, making this a very sociable space for spending your evenings. The bedroom has a double bed and views of the fells and is decorated in cool tones. There is a separate sleek shower room with large cubicle.

Outside, you’ll discover a great terraced balcony with comfortable seating and views of the Dales making it a lovely place to sit on a summer’s evening.

Well located in the centre of Gunnerside. Cosy, comfy, nice views. Well equipped - everything looks brand new - and works. Clever use of space - glassware cupboard recessed where your legs go under the breakfast bar. Car parking a few yards away on the village green.

A lovely well equipped and comfortable apartment with stunning views. It also has a roof terrace which ( weather permitting ) is ideal for an early morning cuppa or a late night glass of wine watching the sheep and other wildlife. There is a pub along the road and a cafe on the door step. We can highly recommend Ghyllfoot apartment.

Had a lovely short break at Ghyllfoot. A nice modern and well appointed apartment surrounded by beautiful Swaledale scenery. Couldnt wish for a better situation for a walking holiday, with walks to be had from the front door.

Ghyllfoot Apartment was an absolutely perfect base for our walking holiday. The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a great location, with fabulous walks straight from the property. The Swaledale bus stops just 2 minutes away providing a car free way of extending the start point of walks from further up and down the Dale. We thoroughly enjoyeRead mored eating and drinking in the pub across the road. Its closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Its worth stocking up on provisions over the weekend as several of the shops in Reeth are closed on Mondays and dont forget to fill up with fuel before you arrive. Hide

Beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment in a stunning location. If you can tear yourselves away from the terrace the walking from the door is outstanding. Plus a pub serving delicious food just across the road.
