Situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this tranquil two-bedroom cottage is an ideal place for peaceful getaways with opportunities for scenic walking and cycling. It’s surrounded by meadows in a rural location, but you have a local pub and shop within just 2 miles.

Upon entering, there is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. It has a comfortable two-seater sofa and two armchairs set in front of a coffee table and Freeview TV. There’s also an electric fire on a slate hearth to keep you warm on chilly nights. The kitchen area is equipped with a combination microwave and a two-ring ceramic hob. The window above the sink overlooks the beautiful green hills. Have a bite to eat on the extendable dining table and chairs that seat four. When bedtime calls, head over to the first bedroom with its inviting double bed, bedside table and two windows offering more picturesque scenery. The second bedroom has two single beds plus bedside tables and lamps. The bathroom is a modern design in grey and white with a large shower cubicle, WC and heated towel rail.

The outside is what truly makes this property a lovely retreat. To the front is a large patio area and, beyond the fence, there’s space to park two cars. From here, there are great views across the fields to Easby Moor and Captain Cooks Monument. To the rear is an enclosed area with a hot tub and more stunning scenery to admire. The cottage was very good and the owners are very friendly and available if you have any concerns. The only suggestion was to enclose the hotuv area from the drive so solo people can use the hot tub but let dogs safely roam the yard area.

Absolutely fantastic quiet break away. Our host was very attentive and the bottle of celebratory prosecco brought to us when we mentioned we'd just got married, was very much appreciated! Already recommended to multiple friends and family x

Lovely place and very clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We took our dog and the owner let us use the large field at the side of the property to walk our dog. Great place to stay with lots of lovely walks nearby and then a nice hot tub to relax in.

We had a really lovely stay at Little Haven. The cottage was warm and very comfortable. It was the perfect base for us to explore the beautiful Yorkshire coast with our dog and to enjoy a quiet getaway. The hot tub was a wonderful luxury and kept well by Ken, who also very kindly let us use the field next to the cottage for exercising our dog. The Read morecottage was a good space for for four of us, including two teens, and the kitchen/dining/lounge meant we could enjoy dinners altogether. The shower was very good and clearly thought had gone into making the cottage a clean and relaxing environment. Beds were comfy and heating perfect for our Autumnal stay. We would definitely recommend to friends and family, especially those with a dog. Hide

Stayed as a family of 3 with a dog. The location was excellent, lots of lovely walks to do very nearby. We went to Guisborough forest, Cooks monument and a walk around Great Ayton. The cottage is well equipped for you to be able to cook a meal and there are a lot of dog friendly places to eat locally. The owner has an adjoining field that the dog cRead moreould go in, which was lovely. All in all a great holiday. Hide

We have had a lovely stay at Little Haven. Ken was a friendly and welcoming host who greeted us at the start and at the end of our stay. The views from Little Haven are beautiful and lovely to view whilst sitting in the hot tub. Ken allowed us to use the neighbouring enclosed field to exercise our dog which was really useful. The cottage itself waRead mores spotlessly clean and there was more enough space for the two of us with our dog and baby. The double bedroom had plenty of space for our travel cot which was great. Thankyou Ken for a lovely stay, we would highly recommend Little Haven to anyone looking for a holiday in North Yorkshire. Hide

Lovely location- easy to get to Saltburn for the sea and Northallerton & Guisborough for a bit of shopping. With close by things too in Great Ayrton. Great to have access to the field, loved the hot tub. Comfy bed, sofas were nice. It was a good size space. Hot shower. Really helpful to have such a reasonably sized fridge and a microwave/hub (and sRead moreome takeaway menus!) Appreciated milk and tea bags, and a hair dryer. Really easy check in and check out process. As all laminate floor was great for the dog. It was his first holiday and owner was very understanding. Lovely and quiet, we all slept well. Will miss sitting in the field listening to the birds with a cup of tea. Hide
