Traditional and modern styles combine to present this delightful two-storey stone cottage that oozes character and charisma – it’s an idyllic location for the perfect country getaway. Located in the village of Low Row, this cottage sits in the Northern part of the Yorkshire Dales. It offers a great central location for those seeking relaxation in this beautiful part of the national park. The open countryside is a hiker’s dream, with walks of varying distances and difficulties available from the doorstep. Keen cyclists will enjoy riding through Low Row, which the 2014 Tour de France competitors passed through on stage one. Another point of interest is nearby Barnard Castle, just 13 miles away to the north with its 12th Century Castle and the Bowes Museum which is a great day out.

Inside the cottage, you will find a welcoming lounge, with ceiling beams and a farmhouse-style door, it provides a cosy, intimate environment to relax in after a long day of exploring. The separate kitchen incorporates a table and chairs, so you can eat, relax and plan for the next day of adventure. Upstairs, the master bedroom features an oak-framed king-sized bed, and an en-suite shower room for ultimate privacy. The second bedroom is a twin with fantastic views of the countryside. Bedroom three is a smaller room, yet still spacious enough to contain a double bed. A second bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the first floor.

Outside, there is an outdoor dining area to the front with the fabulous views over the hillside.

Great cottage had everything we needed. Location is fantastic and local pub restaurant definitely worth a visit.

We loved Windyridge, it was perfect for our Christmas break. Both the kitchen/diner and lounge were nicely decorated. The cottage was toasty warm and well equipped, even the knives were sharp, a rare thing in holiday cottages. It's in a great location too, fabulous views over the valley and a short walk to an excellent pub, there's even a fish and Read morechip van visiting on a Friday. Hide

A stunning location with amazing views over Swaledale. Great area for walking and exploring the Dales. Cottage really well equipped and so peaceful. 5 mins walk to very nice pub and others in nearby villages. Highly recommend this accommodation.

It was our first time to experience a village setting in England and we totally loved the cosy and classy cottage; as well as its scenic views. We were pleased to find ample firewood in the shed which kept us warm throughout our winter visit.

Thank you for organising such a great cottage. Greatly enjoyed this stunning location. Also perfect for walking and running - we found several hidden paths. Walking boots were essential for off road trails. Hope to return again soon.

A thoroughly enjoyable return for us to this cottage and to Swaledale. Amazing views, welcoming folk, great food and lambs & sheep as ongoing entertainment. We hope to be back before too long.

Our 7th visit to Windyridge - enjoyed more than ever. No room at the Punchbowl but had a very delicious meal at CB Inn. Walked over the top to Gunnerside and then through wild flower meadows. Beautiful!
