Situated halfway between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Park, guests at this property are spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring Yorkshire’s breathtaking landscapes. Walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will find it hard to choose which direction to head in when they set out for the day! On the property’s doorstep, the village of East Cowton has a pub, community shop and pop-up cafe. The shops, cafes and restaurants of Northallerton and Richmond are just 9 miles and 11 miles away respectively, and for those interested in English history, a visit to Mount Grace Priory (13 miles) is highly recommended.

The single-storey property is entered via an entrance hall offering coat hooks and a bench for storing shoes and boots after country walks. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a spacious, airy room to relax in, with a large L-shaped sofa, Smart TV, dining table and chairs, and modern kitchen. The bedroom is also bright and cheerful, accessed via two steps up, and can be presented as a zip-and-link king-size bed or twin singles. The property’s contemporary shower room has a large walk-in shower.

Outside, to the front of the property, there is a gravelled courtyard area with both bench seating and a patio table and chairs – a peaceful spot to sit out in good weather.

Probably the best equipped holiday let we have ever stayed in. A friendly welcome with milk and treats, preserves provided on arrival. Clean, and exceptionally comfortable especially the bed and sofas. Parking directly outside, also a seating area.

The cottage was in a little village and very quite. you could actually see the stars. a novelty if you live in a town. Owners were very helpful advising us as to local facilities ect. Local pub ( The Beeswing) has very good food. The cottage is close to Northallerton if you require foodstuff with all the major stores. We would go again and will recRead moreommend to friends. Hide

The Owners were both very welcoming and the welcome gift was a nice personal touch. The property was exactly as described and the pictures on the website do it justice. The property is in a prime location for a walk to the village pub the Beeswing Inn where you will receive a friendly welcome from the owner and her staff, with the added bonus of grRead moreeat food and draught beer. The Old Dairy is a great place to stay for 2 people. This is the second time we have stayed here. It's spotlessly clean, with excellent facilities, including a lovely shower, very comfortable 6' bed and a well-thought out living area with kitchen. Thoroughly recommended.
