We enjoyed an excellent week at St. Hilda's View. Lived up to all our expectations. The proximity to the bus station and local supermarket was an added bonus.

This is a really good value-for-money cottage so close to the centre of town and it's very comfortable, clean and well equipped. For this price you don't expect swanky shower facilities and the shower room is very small. If you're used to the parking situation in Whitby there is no great problem over the lack of a designated parking space - we haRead morerdly used the car at all over the 6 days and left it on Upgang Lane where it's free unrestricted parking. I was overall very happy with the accommodation. However one or two things need attention. Whilst the fact that the shower is ageing with signs of rust and repair did not bother me it will impact others. It was very good to have manuals for most equipment but a couple of key ones were missing including the shower. Also the brochures were in manRead morey cases very out of date and the area and attractions have changed in the last twenty years. Another positive is that when a problem arose - the gas had been turned off at the property due to work nearby - it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Hide
