Situated in the beautiful village of Lockton, just a short drive away from the coastline, you’ll never fall short of Yorkshire excursions nearby when staying in this exciting location. Offering a world of adventure within effortless reach, the property sits close to Dalby Forest (2 miles). This location is ever-popular with hikers, cyclists and thrill-seekers, there’s even a Go Ape centre that kids will love (2 miles). A short drive leads to Pickering (5.5 miles), a truly scenic market town with a historic castle and a heritage train station. From here you can board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to visit Levisham (1 mile), Goathland (9 miles) and Grosmont (12 miles) on a scenic tour of the surrounding National Park. This route will take you all the way to the coastal town of Whitby (16 miles), a wonderful place where you can explore the area’s Gothic literary history whilst eating delicious fish and chips.

Clean lines and a neutral colour palette add to the calming nature of this contemporary property. Three external steps lead up and into the hallway, a spacious area with a cupboard for stowing away outdoor wear. From here you can continue through into the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner, a one-stop spot for preparing meals and relaxing together. The lounge is a welcoming space with a wood burner, ideal for those cooler evenings and perfect for relaxing whilst watching your favourite movie on the Smart TV/DVD. Lovely location very quiet village, neighbours all very friendly. Cottage is ideal for getting around for sightseeing, local pub friendly and serves lovely food, local shops in Pickering for groceries. Fantastic walks with breath-taking views.

This is a beautifully equipped and situated cottage. It is spotlessly clean and perfect for family holidays in North Yorkshire.
