Situated on a lovely holiday park near the tiny village of Routh in the East Riding of Yorkshire, this single-level lodge-style accommodation is perfect for a family break. The holiday park has handy facilities such as a café, two fishing lakes, cycling and walking trails, and 75 acres of parkland (home to deer, hare, swans, ducks, sand martins, and herons). The estate is located within a short driving distance of the cathedral city of Beverley (5.5 miles), which has a twice weekly market where you can buy lots of local produce for your larder. Beverley is also home to historic places of interest like the Minster, a cathedral, and a world-famous racing course. The coast is close by too, with the beaches of Barmston (12.5 miles) and Hornsea (8.5 miles) being worth a day trip or two. If you love nature and bird watching, do not miss out on a trip to Flamborough Head to see some of the biggest seabird roosts in the UK. You can also check out the nature reserves of High Eske (10 miles) and Tophill Low (15.5 miles).
The lodge’s front door can be reached via five small steps up to a wraparound deck/balcony. Once inside, you will encounter the spacious lounge with ample relaxing seat that centres around a TV and a flame effect electric fire. Also provided is a dining table with seating for all guests. There are several windows, and French doors out onto the deck, making the lounge very light and airy. Nearby is a well-equipped kitchen with worktops and all the appliances you could need. There are two bedrooms close by, each home to a double bed apiece. The accommodation also has an en-suite shower room and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Stepping through the French doors out on the decking, you can relax on the outdoor furniture or watch the world go by. At the side of the property is a four-person hot tub to enjoy. Watch the stars come out and sip a few glasses of bubbly to while away the hours.
