A traditional stone-built cottage, settled in the village of Langthwaite with views of the wild and rugged countryside of Arkengarthdale from every window. The perfect destination for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, Langthwaite is famous for featuring in the television series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and benefits from two near-by pubs offering a warm Dales welcome. Walkers are spoilt for choice with plenty of well-marked trails in the area, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes that offer breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape from the hills. Cyclists are well catered for, whether taking on the demanding local road climbs or one of the many varied mountain bike routes. Nearby is the popular village of Reeth (3 miles), home to a number of charming shops, cafes, pubs, and a weekly farmers market. Further afield are the market towns of Richmond (14 miles) and Barnard Castle (11 miles).

Head inside this traditional cottage renovated to a high standard and boasting a great deal of personality and charm, with a blend of original features with exposed beams, stonework and modern fixtures and fittings. Hang your coat in the hallway and exchange your walking shoes for slippers, make your way into the country style kitchen that comes generously equipped with everything you require to create a home cooked meal. Enjoy your breakfast at the breakfast table in the kitchen before heading out for your walk. Continue into the spacious and cosy lounge which has comfortable sofas set around a beautiful inglenook fireplace, stoke the fire and relax while watching a movie on the Smart TV. Gather around the large extending dining table for family suppers or a board game! If you feel like having a quiet moment with a good book, retreat off to the garden room. Should you be working while away, there is a handy workspace both upstairs and downstairs. Completing the ground floor is a utility room where you can launder any dirty walking clothes in the washing machine. When it gets to the end of the day, venture upstairs to discover four lovely bedrooms, a single room with a separate work desk, a twin room, a king-size room and a double room with an en-suite shower room and WC. At the end of the hall is a gorgeous bathroom suite featuring a freestanding bath, shower cubicle and WC, the perfect way to relax after a long day exploring.

Take the steps up to the raised flagstone patio, sit in peace with a refreshing drink and watch the last of the sunshine going down.

This is a gorgeous house in excellent condition in a very special spot. Super well equipped, stylish and comfortable, lively outdoor area and the brilliant CB Inn within walking distance all spot on! Only thing missing was a cheesegrater fautless otherwise!
