Lovely cottage in a fairly remote location so very peaceful and a pleasure to hear the different bird song. Lots of places to visit without having to venture too far.

Lovely cottage in a good location. Great circular walk from the cottage past Wycliff Church (historic and interesting) along the river to the suspension bridge which unfortunately was closed for restoration work to take place. A beautifully decorated house in a very quiet but easily accessible location. Easy to get to the Lake District, Pennines Geopark, Dales and even up to Hadrians wall in an easy day trip. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. Easy to find with an excellent, clear parking space. No disturbance by owners which I find to be an advantage and a Read morefew simple amenities left (mini toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk etc.) which are appreciated though no sugar or hand soap at either sink, we ended up using shower gel for handwashing. Decoration and furnishing were lovely, only let down by the Hoover and ironing board being just stacked behind the bedroom door rather than able to be put away and the lack of a full length mirror anywhere. The beds were comfortable and smart TV excellent in addition to strong consistent Wi-Fi. There was no information on recycling or clear recycling facilities at the property so maybe bring your own recycling bag to take it with you. I would absolutely recommend this property, it is beautifully decorated, cleaned and maintained; we thoroughly enjoyed staying here and found it good value for money. Hide
