This characterful four-storey end terrace house is snugly located on the high street in the North Yorkshire seaside village of Staithes. Once the filming location for kids’ TV favourite Old Jack’s Boat, you also have some fine pubs, cafes, and restaurants more or less on your doorstep. Staithes also has a few handy shops down by the picturesque working harbour. If you are looking to venture out on your holiday, you can walk the Cleveland Way and follow it to the gorgeous Runswick Bay (3 miles). The village stands 10 miles north of Whitby with its annual calendar of wonderful live events such as a real ale and a jazz festival. Whitby is perhaps most famous for its long-standing associations with the fictional tale of Count Dracula by Bram Stoker. You can follow in the head vampire’s footsteps to visit Whitby Abbey and many other Gothic locations around the town. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink around the town. Other attractions in the local area include Captain Cook & Staithes Heritage Centre (0.5 miles), Land of Iron (5.5 miles), Roseberry Topping (23.5 miles), and RSPB Saltholme (29 miles).
