Outside the front door is a small patio area with sea views and table and chairs provided during the summer months.

Just around the corner from Doris is the famous bustling cobbled ‘Church Street’ leading down to the harbour with a myriad of quaint shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries, and bars. You are spoilt for choice where to eat, with some outstanding restaurants only a few minutes walk away.
Yet despite being so close to Church Street the cottage’s location is wonderfully peaceful in the evenings. For those who love the countryside and want to explore further a field the North Yorkshire Moors National Park is on your doorstep with the villages of Grosmont and Goathland where the iconic ‘Heartbeat ’ was filmed with its steam train only 20 minutes away.
The owners of Doris really have thought of everything with a rare private secure parking place that comes with the cottage. Whilst this is on the other side of the swing bridge with a 10 minute walk you can unload outside the cottage before parking.
