While you are here, take a stroll through the spectacular moorland of Penistone Hill Country Park. Ogden Water Country Park, 3.5 miles from your base and with woodland and lakeside walks, is also a picturesque place to visit. Pack a picnic and head off for the day to explore the Yorkshire Dales, 12.5 miles away, or the Peak District, 19 miles away. Closer to home, the Hewenden Viaduct, 4 miles away, is quite a sight to see.
