Tucked away at the northern edge of the North York Moors, this rural retreat is an ideal place for families and friends to enjoy quality time together. Surrounded by the rolling green hills of Yorkshire’s countryside, there are plenty of country walks on your doorstep, or you could venture further afield to the heather-clad hills of the National Park. Perhaps you’d prefer a leisurely stroll around one of the many attractive towns and villages nearby, followed by a cup of Yorkshire tea or a pint of ale in a welcoming tearoom or pub. The area is also well-suited to cyclists, with trails and routes to suit all abilities. Whichever way you wish to spend your days, you’ll love returning home for a spot of friendly competition in the games’ room or a soak in the hot tub as you enjoy the picturesque views. Situated in the small, tranquil village of Great Busby, you are only 1.5 miles from the larger villages of Carlton-in-Cleveland and Kirkby, both of which have pubs and shops for your convenience.

As you step inside, you’ll find yourself in the attractive, beautifully furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner; the ideal space for everyone to spend time together whether you’re cooking, eating or relaxing. After you’ve cooked up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, head to the lounge to snuggle up on the sofas in front of the wood burner-effect gas fire whilst you watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV.

Upstairs, there are three gorgeous bedrooms. Firstly, there’s a spacious king-size bedroom with French doors that open on to a Juliet balcony, so you can let the fresh air in and appreciate the stunning views. The second bedroom is also a king-size and the third has bunk beds, which the kids will love. Completing the first floor is the beautiful bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

Outside, there is a games room next door, with a pool table, darts board and TV, making it a perfect area for older children to retreat to. The adults, however, will enjoy al fresco dining on the patio and the private hot tub. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the cottage, quiet area but stokesley was only down the road for shops and Middlesbrough can be reach in 20 minutes or so. A picturesque drive gets you to Whitby and the coast which is great. If you are there for a walking holiday lordstones is overlooking the cottage and a 10 minute or so drive but leads to aRead more walk into the moors if you desire. The hot tub is a nice way to relax after being out all day. Hide

The cottage was ideal for our needs - family of four with two young teenagers, plus two grandparents - for a long weekend. The games room and hot tub were particularly well appreciated by adults and teenagers alike.
