A stunning, impeccably converted 18th-century barn complex, tucked away on a quiet lane but within easy reach of the village of Gilberdyke and its local amenities and train station. A perfect base for family and friends to get together, relax and explore. Visit the historic market towns of Howden (6 miles) and Beverley (14 miles) for relaxed days out. The ancient city of York is only a short drive away (28 miles) with attractions including the Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and Castle Museum to name a few. For family-friendly excitement, be sure to visit the award-winning William’s Den Adventure Park (5 miles) or the fascinating marine world at The Deep in Hull (20 miles). For a trip to the coast, Hornsea (30 miles) is known for its beautiful beach and Hornsea Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire. Beyond the property, there are many walking and cycling trails to follow and local scenic beauty to enjoy. Highlights include the Humber Estuary and the banks of the River Ouse, North Cave wetlands, and the Wolds Way.

Step inside and you’ll find this beautiful old farm building has been thoughtfully converted into a holiday home with a relaxed contemporary feel. The interior is bright and spacious with a galleried landing looking over the open-plan lounge, dining hall and kitchen. There’s room for eight guests around the dining table and big, comfortable sofas gathered around a log burner in the lounge. This is the perfect spot to relax and watch a movie on the Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped, and the large kitchen island is a sociable spot to perch on a stool, open a bottle of wine or supervise the chef. There is a utility room with washing machine and a snug/games room with Smart TV and games console. Completing the ground floor is a useful WC. Upstairs in the Threshing Barn are three bedrooms: one king-size with en-suite shower, one which can be set up as a super-king or twin, and one double bedrom. A family bathroom completes the first floor. The self-contained Courtyard Barn, which is only a few metres away and flanks the garden, has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a lounge/kitchen/diner with Smart TV, perfect to retreat to for some peace and quiet.

Outside, there is a sheltered courtyard garden, a large patio with dining table to enjoy your al fresco meals, charcoal BBQ for you to use and a lawn where you can play a selection of garden games. The parking area to the front is large, has adequate space for 4/5 cars and open views across the fields. See what wildlife you can spot.

The Threshing Barn was perfect for our needs. We were not disappointed! The house is stunning! It has been very carefully renovated and is comfortable, modern and well appointed. Everything that we could think of is included for family meals, we love cooking. This cottage is the perfect cosy getaway, we were a group of 8 adults, a 5 year old, 3 year old and 7 month old and we had a ball! The Threshing barn has been the perfect place for our family Christmas. Stunning accommodation with walks for us and the dog from right outside the gate. The Woodburner was fabulous for our cosy evenings playing boardgames.

The barn is beautiful, very clean and immaculately kept. It makes a lovely base for a large family holiday. We went with elderly parents who found the Courtyard Barn which is an Annex very comfortable for their needs as it is on the ground floor and has its own kitchen and lounge area as well as en-suite. Great weekend away at the Threshing Barn. The cottage had everything you could think of and the area is lovely and flat for long dog walks. The garden is perfect for breakfast 'Al fresco' if the weather allows.

Stayed from 31st January to 3rd February 2025 for a long weekend. 7 people and a dog stayed and were very comfortable. The barn is finished to a high standard with good storage on the bedrooms. Weve just spent a week in the newly remodelled Threshing Barn and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sarah was waiting at the house to greet us and show us round which was a lovely touch. The house was immaculate and well stocked with equipment. The views from the front were wonderful. Thank you Sarah.

The Threshing Barn is a stunning property that is finished to a superb standard. Everything you could have needed is included (even dog towels) to make your stay smooth. Fresh flowers and snacks were a lovely touch to welcome us. We were welcomed personally by the owners and shown around so everything was explained carefully. A perfect stay.
