Escape to this unique holiday cottage in the village of Snainton and have a holiday to remember with your family or friends in North Yorkshire. Situated some 8 miles from Pickering and 9.5 miles from Scarborough, this fabulous holiday home is less than 2 miles from the fringes of the North York Moors National Park and therefore ideally located for country walks and outdoor activities. Plan fun days out to the coast from here as well to Scarborough, with all its traditional seaside appeal, or the quieter beach at Cayton Bay, which is just 10.5 miles from the cottage and a great place for picnics on the sand.

Welcoming six guests, this cleverly arranged holiday property offers spacious accommodation including three bedrooms; it could therefore suit one or two families or a group of friends. It can also be booked together with another nearby property for large parties who are keen to escape together. Take two four-legged friends along with you too if you wish so they can also enjoy getting out and about on long rural hikes. They will also enjoy relaxing at home with you in the enclosed courtyard garden.

Approach this charming village house and make your way into its welcoming accommodation via its reception hall. This space even has a heated cupboard, where you can leave your raincoats and other outerwear to dry off after long, wet, moorland walks. Wander on through into the property, taking a step down into the airy lounge, which offers plenty of room for all members of your party to gather together in the evening. Settle on the sofas in this light-filled room or sit by the window to take in the scenic views. Light the wood burner on chilly evenings then read a few pages of your book or watch the Smart TV for a spell as you bask in its cosy glow.

As mealtimes begin to beckon, head into the kitchen to start thinking about preparing dinner. This capacious room is well equipped with everything you might require during your stay to help you prepare tasty homecooked meals. Gather together round the table to enjoy your feasts and to engage in lively conversations at the end of fun-filled days.

The bedrooms in this village home are all situated up on the first floor. You have a choice between a king-size room, with an en-suite shower room; a double room, with a small bed that could suit younger members of your group; and a super-king-size room, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twins if discussed in advance. The family bathroom is also at this level.

Enjoy the European style of the outside space at this inviting holiday home. Sit beside the stone wall, watch the children close to the pond that can be covered (please discuss this in advance) and eat out here or relax with a cup of tea on warm summer days. Parking for up to two cars can be found at the cottage.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 super king-size zip-and-link (can be made up as a twin on request), 1 king-size and 1 small double

The cottage is fabulous and in a very quiet part of the village. So relaxing and can recommend a meal at The Coachman Inn a few minutes walk. Plenty to do and see around the area. We loved it and would love to return.

This cottage was exceptional. Attention to the little things was really appreciated. Even the texts from the host. Letting us in a bit earlier and checking everything was OK. It was such a good base for everything we wanted to do. A lovely home from home. Thank you for letting us share your home.

We loved this cottage in Snainton. Perfect quiet spot with a beautiful little patio area and pond. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. The only drawback for us was the stairs out of one of the bedrooms to get to the loo (being of a certain age!) Michaela was really responsive and helpful. Would definitely return.

A very well appointed cottage but as it was dog friendly it would have been helpful to have a bit of grass for them! Otherwise it was a comfortable home from home with thoughtful touches and tasteful furnishings. It is in a convenient area near the sea , forest and good walks. Malton is nearby which is a foodie paradise.
