This cosy wooden retreat invites keen adventurers and adrenaline seekers to relax with their family in this idyllic spot just outside of the North York Moors National Park. A 4-mile drive will put you within the heather-coated hills of this treasure in northern England. Discover its dazzling night skies, sweeping moorland and crinkly coast as you explore its diverse landscapes. The Cleveland Way and Cod Beck are also within 10 miles and provide breathtaking scenery. For the shopping fanatics, Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees are within 11 miles, as is the charming town of Stokesley (1.5 miles), which has a weekly market and independent boutiques. After days of hiking to your heart's content, visit the neighbouring village of Hutton Rudby (3 miles) for a traditional pub dinner and pints in the gardens.

This rustic timber lodge is exceptionally cosy and a welcoming haven for returning to after days of exploring. Hang up your coats at the entrance and let the gentle glow of the wood burner draw you in, filling the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a deep sense of warmth and cosiness. The well-equipped, modern kitchen provides plenty of space to cook and eat and boasts a breakfast bar for quick bites. A dining table seating four is adjacent to this. Play games, watch the Smart TV, or unwind and stretch out on the lounging sofa. When you're ready for bed, two charming bedrooms 1 with super-king-size zip-and-link and 1 special size ‘short’ king zip & link offer flexibility for a family break. Both rooms share a stylish shower room with a shower and WC.

Step outside to the private dining area, where a BBQ and furniture provide afternoons of tucking into local cuisine. It's incredibly peaceful, with a nearby duck pond, horse paddocks and sheep roaming the grounds. With 27 acres to explore and a choice of walking and cycling routes on site, you'll always have an adventure to choose from. However, if you fancy going off-site, the owners are happy to drive you to local cycling routes, and there's secure lockable storage available too. The property benefits from private parking for two cars.

We had a lovely break at Roseberry Topping. The Lodge is very comfortable and in a stunning location. It is truly dog friendly we were provided with throws for the sofa and dog bowls. The dogs had their very own paddock which they loved and plenty of fields to walk them in, they had a fantastic time. We had a lovely relaxing week here. The owners were welcoming and had provided everything you needed and more. Amazingly dog friendly and the dogs made the most of their own paddock. We loved it and have booked again for next year

Stayed here over Christmas and new year with my mum and 2 dogs. Its was brilliant and a full paddock for dogs to run and play in. Was very well equipped and was lovely and warm. Owners was so welcoming and kind. Even offered to make a pizza or sandwiches etc as it was late we arrived. Lovely welcome pack. Nothing was touch trouble will definitely sRead moretay here again.
