Property code: OC-SA880

This lovely stone-built cottage is centred around a pretty courtyard situated in Ravenscar, 'the town that never was' on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast, making it the perfect base for seaside adventures. Begin your trip with a stroll beside the sea and follow the coast for a 4-mile walk north to quaint Robin Hood’s Bay. This cottage is set midway between the popular seaside towns of Whitby (15 miles north) and Scarborough (10 miles south), both bursting with attractions, places to eat and shop, and wonderful sandy beaches to roam. A really ideal base from which to walk or bike (there is secure bike storage). The property next door to this property was built in 1840 and has links to smuggling which once flourished along this rugged coastline.

Set on a smallholding with on-site animals, this delightful country getaway offers buckets of charm both inside and out. Light, bright décor with the occasional stylish feature wall add give character to this holiday home. A country kitchen and cosy sitting room make up the ground floor, and a door in the kitchen leads outside and can be opened up on warm days to let the fresh air in as you cook. The sitting room boasts an electric fire for toasty, atmospheric evenings in, and a contemporary dining table with four chairs sits beneath a pretty, deep-set window. A winding staircase curves up to the first floor, home to a dreamy double bedroom, small twin and shower room complete with a lovely skylight.

Enjoy sitting outside in this idyllic courtyard setting. Fashionable outdoor furniture sits on the patio and there’s a BBQ too that you are welcome to use. Private parking is provided for one car- along with electric charging point if required.
