Harmby House nestles in a quiet yet central location in Middleham with ample off/on street parking. On entering the hallway we were charmed by it's traditional features and calming earthy coloured palette. This continued throughout the property as we explored the quirky corridors and wealth of rooms. The well equipped spacious kitchen, dining room Read moreand living room comfortably accommodated all of us whilst the creative mix of traditional and modern furnishings and stylish accessories made the house feel like a home. We were a party of 16 over three generations celebrating a big family birthday! The children loved the huge attic dormitory bedroom and for the 'grown ups' the bedrooms and en-suites each had their own bespoke character being comfortable with ample storage space. We were blessed with blue skies and sunshine for much of our stay which meant the days were spent outdoors, initially exploring historic Middleham itself and further afield on walks into the beautiful surrounding countryside or visiting nearby small towns and villages . Back at the house the stone walled patio was a suntrap, perfect for alfresco dining, relaxing and children's activities. We all agreed that Harmby House had been the perfect holiday cottage for our family to enjoy special times together. Hide
