Just a short distance from Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and with Settle a little further afield, a stay right here offers you the chance to soak up the very best in the countryside cultures of Yorkshire and Cumbria. Whether you’re walking or cycling, engaging in some more adrenaline-pumping adventures or simply sightseeing amongst the scenery, this location couldn’t be better.

Sleeping an impressive ten guests and with the option to bring three dogs along for the stay, this stunning Georgian farmhouse provides a truly five-star stay for your family or friends. Get together with lifelong pals or bring the extended family together to enjoy a stay right here.

Having arrived at this stunning detached property, head inside via the porch and stop off in the hallway. Here you’ll find a stunning staircase which connects the ground floor to the first floor, along with antique-style furniture which introduces the overarching style of this lovingly presented holiday home.

From the hallway step into one of two lounge spaces. The main lounge features an abundance of cushy seating options, a wood burner and a TV/DVD for whiling away an evening together. This is replicated in the second lounge, a spot where an open fire offers a warm and inviting ambience for cooler winter nights. There's a large selection of books and games available for your use when staying here, and the benefit of two lounges ensures that both adults and children have a space to relax as day turns to night.

You’ll always find space for the whole group to come together in the handsome dining room. This space connects both the main living room and the conservatory, making it a social central hub of the stunning property. Complete with exposed brickwork, stone flagged flooring and a sprawling dining table that’ll host ten guests, this spot is perfect for any celebratory meal due to be enjoyed together.

The aforementioned conservatory is a stylishly appointed space with additional seating and floor-to-ceiling windows. A perfect suntrap for warmer weather, this space offers the perfect transition from inside to outside and will no doubt host your late-night drinks on sunny yet chilly evenings.

Complete with a farmhouse-inspired interior and up-to-date appliances, the kitchen is fitted with everything you need to feed the troops. Featuring two electric ovens and a handy dishwasher, cooking for ten won’t be a struggle for whoever’s nominated to keep the family fed.

Heading back via the hallway, discover a private hallway with additional utility functions for staying on top of your chores whilst away. A utility space with a washer/dryer, an additional fridge/freezer and some storage space provide the perfect laundry room for getting a head start on your washing before heading home.

Next door sits a ground-floor shower room with a WC, fitted in a contemporary style and providing a handy getting ready space for early in the morning.

Completing the ground floor’s offering is a versatile ground-floor bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed. This handsome bedroom can be made up as a twin for those who require additional sleeping arrangements.

Venture back to the main hallway and ascend the stairs to find four further bedrooms, all of which are equipped with Bluetooth speakers.

An additional zip-and-link bedroom right here provides more versatile sleeping options for two. This super-king-size room also features a TV for those who prefer to enjoy some alone time of an evening.

Next up, you’ll find two king-size bedrooms, each of which features traditional-style farmhouse décor with feature design elements, clean and fresh linens and comfortable mattresses to sink into. Each of these bedrooms is equipped with a TV/DVD for further entertainment.

Finally, a majestic super-king-size bedroom makes up the property’s master. This beautifully presented bedroom features a romantic chaise lounge, a feature fireplace and, of course, the added bonus of a TV/DVD for lazy mornings in bed. Complete with a zip-and-link bed which can be split up as a twin, this room is a wonderful choice for your guests of honour. The room comes with an adjacent en-suite and luxurious roll-top bath into which to sink.

A secondary bath can be located in the spacious family bathroom, complete with a separate shower and an abundance of room for getting ready first thing.

Having soaked up the wonders of the property’s interior, step outside from either the kitchen, conservatory or the main entrance to discover an abundant outdoor space. This is a lovely house in a very peaceful setting ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. We booked the house for a family holiday with 9 people spread across 3 generations and there was plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was very popular and the house is very well equipped.

This home accommodated 7 adults comfortably for a friends reunion and the location is wonderful, so peaceful and beautiful all around. The home is clean and beautifully furnished, lots of wonderful details all around. We love to cook and found the kitchen to be well resourced for our cooking needs, and we ate lovely meals and played board games laRead morete into the night around the communal dining table. The garden is not secure for dogs so they must be kept on lead at all times, but other than this we cannot fault the property or the owners attention to detail and desire for their guests comfort and enjoyment. We absolutely loved our stay, each room is spacious and clean and the beds super comfy. Would love to return some day. Highly recommend. Hide
