This welcoming cottage is the larger of two beautiful barn conversions set high up in the North York Moors. This traditional sandstone barn has been lovingly decorated with a comfortable yet elegant touch. The cottage provides stunning views from the surrounding hills and is a short distance from the gorgeous foodie town of Helmsley, just 12.5 miles away.

A truly lovely property which has retained the rural charm of the original building during conversion. With exposed brickwork, ceiling beams and exceptional height in the downstairs living space, the owners have managed to create a real sense of space but also with a real element of cosiness. The interiors are finished with contemporary flair and the stunning open-plan living space features a lounge area complete with a wood burner and comfy leather sofas. Light the fire and settle down to a movie on the Smart Tv with DVD. There's also underfloor heating giving the whole house a warm and cosy ambience. The chunky oak dining table sits beside the kitchen and is the perfect spot to perch yourself with a glass of champagne while someone cooks up a storm in the kitchen.

The kitchen itself is well-equipped and comes complete with a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and a dishwasher for your convenience. The open-plan arrangement means that no matter where you are in this space, there is still a sense of togetherness.

The cottage also has three spacious bedrooms, all en-suite, so no queues for the bathroom in the morning. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and feature built-in wardrobes, TVs and shower room facilities. One of these rooms has a king-size bed and the other is a double. The master bedroom occupies the entire first floor and is an impressive size with super king-size bed, generous bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower and far-reaching views out across the moors. This is a perfect place to relax and unwind away from the rest of the house.

To the front of the cottage is a small lawned area which looks directly onto the country estate, and to the rear, a delightful sheltered patio complete with a BBQ for those balmy North York Moors summer evenings. This is a heavenly Yorkshire retreat for families and friends alike. A picnic table makes this an ideal spot to dine alfresco and make the most of being in the great outdoors.

This property can also be booked along with Partridge Cottage for larger group get-togethers or celebrations.

Please note, the cottage is set on a shooting estate.

Beautiful barn conversion cottage, well equipped for everything you could need. Beautiful spot in the North York Moors, really peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to visit the cottage again.

Lovely accommodation. Great facilities, comfort and everything you need for a holiday. The owners were also kind enough to provide non-feather pillows after I forgot to request this before arrival.

Disappointed that the neither the outdoor furniture sets were available. Although early in the season It was super sunny while we were there (April) but no opportunity to sit outside. This was mentioned on day 1 but nothing happened. The place is def of the beaten track and while we enjoyed the location it may not be entirely everyone cup of tea

The cottage was absolutely exactly what we wanted for our family Christmas holiday. The log burner kept us all toasty and warm and everything was very clean and well maintained. The area is beautiful with lots of walks nearby and the scenery glorious. Thank you so much to the owners, perhaps a little later time yo leave would have been nicer, we haRead mored to be out by 10am but I can understand if cleaners needed to be in prior to other guests x Hide

If you are after a quiet place to stay this is perfect. If you want a place with a pub/restaurant nearby this is not ideal. It's an hour's walk to get to Chop Gate. Cottage is really comfortable and decently equipped. Some really good walks right out the door, the Cleveland Way is not far away.

Very clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchen equipement is a bit lacking. Very peaceful. Pheasants every where you look !! In the "need to know" section the "Paddock available for dogs to be exercised off lead, under super vision, by arrangement - just ask!" is incorrect as there is NOT a paddock or excrcise area.

A lovely property in a very picturesque area. Very comfortable beds with the bonus of all the bedrooms being en-suite which suited our party. Quiet and relaxing and very dog friendly. Stunning views with a super cafe virtually on the doorstep. Plenty to see and do within a short drive. Would definitely stay again if visiting in the area.

Beautiful location and a property well looked after and presented. The owners were really helpful and relaxed and everything went very smoothly. A super welcome pack was a nice touch.. Really great to be away from everything - we even managed with an electric vehicle despite the remote location so don't let that put you off..
