Property code: OC-82823

Take a look at this elegant property in a peaceful village setting just 8 miles from Thirsk, a thriving market town studded between the stunning Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. Sleeping eight guests and two waggy-tailed companions, your charming abode encompasses comfort and style in equal measure, providing a wonderful retreat for spending quality time with your loved ones. The friendly owners have even provided a delightful welcome pack to kick-start your stay with goodies galore, and the village pub is behind the property for a crisp glass of craft ale on sunny afternoons.

Weary from a day of exploring, you’ll be able to discard your coats and boots in the hallway and descend to the lounge to relax with a glass of ice-cold wine. Lavish sofas, quirky furniture and chic decor provide a sanctuary for those cosy film nights you’ve been planning as a family, and the floor-to-ceiling bifold doors blend the indoors with the outdoors for an al fresco atmosphere. A snuggly carpet underfoot completes the scene, inviting you to get comfy under a blanket clasping a mug of something hot.

A large doorway leads through to the kitchen, a decidedly modern affair with stylish seating for your entire party and all the cooking paraphernalia you could wish for. Navigate the units with ease, using the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher to your full advantage. Grab your apron and whip up something tasty, recruiting your resident foodies to help you transform local ingredients into a feast, settling the children at the table to watch TV whilst they wait. There’s a downstairs WC for extra convenience alongside an office just in case you wanted to catch up on your emails during your stay.

All four bedrooms are equipped with a TV for an extra treat before bedtime, and one of the pretty twin bedrooms on the first floor boasts its own en-suite shower room. There’s an equally delightful twin bedroom just along the hallway, and a wonderful double room with a comfy bed crisply dressed for slumber. Tucked on the third floor is the final bedroom, a stunning king-size bedroom with a separate WC. Natural light floods in through the large window, and the luxurious bed is far too tempting when you are ready to retire for the night. Of course, no evening would be complete without a long soak in the fabulous first-floor bathroom.

Back downstairs, throwing open the bi-fold doors will reward you with splendid views of the fields beyond and a vast stretch of lawn ideal for garden games and relaxing in the sunshine. Fire up the BBQ and sizzle up something special, or dip your toes in your exclusive hot tub with a glass of something fizzing and delicious. When the sun fades from the sky, the luxurious garden furniture is the perfect spot for stargazing. Off-road parking is available for three cars, and you’ll have additional parking in the nearby pub car park if needed.

We were really happy with our stay at Willow View in Thirsk. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The view of the cow pasture at the back is lovely, but it should be noted that the cottage is in between two cottages that are lived in. There was no noise from either of these but we were conscious of not making noise as well. Willow View sits behind the Nags Head restaurant, with it's own private parking and to the back looking out on gorgeous countryside views. It was a lovely, clean presented house.
