The charming village of Lealholme is 1.5 miles from the house; from here you can take a scenic walk along the River Esk. You may choose to head to the coast at Whitby (11 miles), where you’ll find a wide variety of shops and restaurants or explore the impressive Mulgrave Estate and castle ruins (8.5 miles).

You’ll enter the property directly into the living area, a cosy space with wooden ceiling beams. Perfect base for our fantastic holiday on the moors - walking, wildlife watching, riding the heritage steam railway (NYMR). Cosy and warm to return to after a busy and/or chilly day. Well equipped for all cooking requirements, owners made us feel very welcome - as did everyone we met in the Moors area! A highly recommended location and property. It was a very nice cottage in a great location. It was very peaceful and had great views across the dales. The only thing that could be improved was the shower was a bit awkward since you had to hold the shower head up in the bath.
