This gorgeous two-bedroom stone lodge is the epitome of a cosy escape, surrounded by the rolling countryside of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. A haven for one-level living and keen explorers. The small rural village of Horton less than 0.5 miles features a post office, general shop and café, and benefits from easy access to Skipton (10 miles) with plenty of independent shops, restaurants, a famous market and a rich culture to discover. Travel through history to explore over 900-year-old Skipton Castle 10 miles away, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the whole country. Train ride along the seventy-two-mile route from Settle to Carlisle, meandering through the stunning Yorkshire Dales, over the 24 arches of Ribblehead Viaduct before plunging into Blea Moor tunnel along the Settle-Carlisle Railway 11 miles away. Further afield, White Scar Cave (22.5 miles) is the longest cave in Britain to explore right beneath your feet.
Through the front door, you’re welcomed into the light and bright open-plan living, kitchen and dining space. The living space occupying the front of the lodge benefits from an ornate fireplace, comfortable sofa and TV, setting the cosy atmosphere of the whole lodge. The contemporary spacious kitchen space is well-equipped with everything to cater for meals and curves around the lodge, with a wood-panelled ceiling reflecting the beautiful countryside outside. A wooden dining table for six is tucked in its own space next to the kitchen for intimate dining. The back of the lodge features two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with ample storage and dressing space. A wet room with an accessible shower with handrails and WC completes this cosy countryside lodge.
A large garden wraps around the lodge, with a luscious lawn and there is even a small brook to enjoy. A patio area with ramp access underneath the cover of the lodge is the perfect spot for al fresco dining or summer night socialising.
