  • Edwardian elegance, contemporary comfort and sea views from the pretty garden
  • Superb location for spectacular Robin Hood’s Bay Beach and coastal walks

Property code: OC-R566

With picturesque views towards the sea and out over leafy green surroundings, this Robin Hood’s Bay apartment makes a tranquil retreat. Sleeping four people, and happy to accommodate four-legged guests, the one-bedroom property is on the ground floor of an imposing house where a sea captain would have lived. Just 0.5 miles from the old fishing village’s sandy beach, where you can hunt for fossils and dip in rock pools, it is a great base for a coastal break. Lace up your walking boots and head out on hikes through the surrounding North York Moors National Park. Follow a 6-mile, circular walk, from Robin Hood’s Bay to Maw Wyke, taking in the headland of Ness Point and stunning clifftop vistas.

Enter this imposing period property via a shared entrance, with an original Edwardian floor, then open the door into your private accommodation. Make your way into the lounge, with a beautiful bay window and high ceiling, to find there is a TV in here, plus a double sofa bed that can accommodate two members of your party. The kitchen diner, with another sofa and TV, is also a generous space and comes equipped with everything you need to cook meals for your family or friends with your own ingredients. Dine in here together too or play games round the table on your evenings in. There is also a double bedroom, with sea views, and a family shower room at this apartment. Patio doors from the kitchen lead out to the garden, down three steps.

Enjoy the gorgeous garden at this apartment. Relax on the bench and gaze out towards the sea or serve meals at the table on the patio during warm weather.

The house is good but both this and the garden are tired and need a deep clean. The sofa bed in the lounge is very hard to sit on so we spent most of our evening time in the kitchen room. The view from the back door is great as you can see the sea and we had a resident pheasant living on the other side of the little field so was good to be in wiRead moreld. Location is amazing but would consider other locations for our next trip. Hide

Great location to explore the Yorkshire coastline. Parking on site is a bonus. Apartment was clean (not spotless), very spacious and comfortable, lovely fresh clean bedding, welcome pack appreciated (and kitchen pack too). Access to secure garden, great for the dog, addition of decking also a nice outside feature with great views which was not showRead moren on promotional photo. We really enjoyed our stay and having leisurely drinks at The Victoria with stunning views from their patio/garden, food was good there too. Some noise from upstairs apartment was experienced. Overall would definitely recommend a stay in this handsome house. Hide

Location was excellent & knowing the Bay, it was exactly where we wanted to be. The standard of the property was exactly as described. The small garden was neat & tidy and our young dog was safe to be outside. Would we book again? . . Certainly. All in all it did exactly what it said on the tin.

Great, quiet location & only 5 minutes from the bay centre. Local shops & eateries very close too! Wonderful clifftop walks along the cinder trail with stunning views. Off street parking to front. Lovely secure enclosed rear garden. Very spacious throughout especially a large family kitchen diner with patio area ! Great that it comes with washing Read moremachine & outdoor washing line. Even a dishwasher too ! Look out for the handy welcome cleaning pack ! As it is a dog friendly property, attention to a deeper clean is necessary between guests. Hide

The rooms are big and spacious. The garden is lovely. The apartment is in a fantastic location and so helpful having that parking space. The welcome pack was a lovely addition. I would just look at replacing the mattress as it was very uncomfortable. The living room is a lovely space i dont know if its just my eyesight but that TV is very small.

We had a nice stay. The cottage offered everything we needed. Lovely to see the coast from the garden and kitchen. The location was great for us and allowed us to explore the region. The garden was fully enclosed which was great for our two dogs.
