An immaculate retreat, with an enclosed garden, this dog-friendly holiday home is situated in northern Scarborough. The one-bedroom property is 0.5 miles from the sandy North Bay Beach, popular for swimming and surfing and where there is an open-air theatre, and the same distance from Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club. Keen walkers can pick up the Cleveland Way here, attempting perhaps the 9-mile, clifftop stretch to Ravenscar, or can head inland, into the North York Moors National Park, with its array of footpaths. Visit the Forge Valley Woods Nature Reserve, 5 miles away, on the banks of the River Derwent, within the national park, to follow a trail through the trees and look out for wildlife.

Open the door to this contemporary cottage and head through to the lounge to watch TV, listen to music or chat about the busy day you have enjoyed out and about. There is a sofa bed in here too that can accommodate a third guest. Also downstairs, is the kitchen/diner, a light room, where you can whip up tasty meals then sit down to eat together, and a conservatory, where it is pleasant to sit with a cup of tea and your book. Follow the stairs up from the lounge to the first floor to find the double bedroom, which can be arranged as two singles if discussed in advance, and the family bathroom.

Take two steps down from the conservatory to enjoy the sunny patio and enclosed, lawned garden. Open the folding picnic table and chairs to dine out here or have a cup of tea in the sunshine.

A lovely place, location spot on, beach very short walk away along with a pub and Tesco express for essentials. Easy driving distance to Scarborough main town centre, Filey/Whitby nearby. Would we book again the answer is yes.

Had to make 2 phone calls to chase up booking, which was only confirmed less than 24 hrs before we were due to arrive ( thanks to Leanne) also owner requested we leave property by 9am which we felt was a bit early

Have been to Sandy Toes numerous times, always have a really good holiday, great location for dog friendly beach.

This house was perfect for me and my daughter & our dog. There was a small conservatory & a garden. A path leads from the door of the house straight to the beach. There's a Tesco on the main road. It was just perfect. We loved it.

Lovely pet friendly property only a short walk away from the beach. Ideally situated in a quiet location and a great central base to visit surrounding areas such as Whitby, Bridlington etc. Loads of dog friendly pubs and shops around. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
