A generous holiday home at the heart of vibrant Whitby, this Yorkshire property could be perfect for a larger family or two families together. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom abode is perfectly placed for making the most of everything the town has to offer. It is less than 0.5 miles from the main beach, with its sandy expanses where you can picnic, paddle and swim. Stroll out from your base to shop for provisions, dine out or visit historic sights and attractions too. You are also about 0.5 miles from the old town’s famous 199 steps, up which you can climb to the headland where the ruins of Whitby Abbey are situated, famously mentioned in Bram Stoker’s horror novel Dracula.
Make your way into the three-storey cottage via the hall, where you can leave your shoes and hang your coats, and where the family bathroom is situated. Take a few steps up to a king-size bedroom, with doors on to a courtyard garden and an en-suite shower room. A double bedroom and a bunk bedroom, with full-size bunks, are also here. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is positioned. Take turns at preparing meals in here, dine at the table and open the French doors on to the decked patio on fine days to sit outside at the table and chairs. More stairs lead up to the second floor, where there is a king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room.
Enjoy the fresh air out in the courtyard garden or out on the balcony as often as possible during your stay. Dine outside or simply relax and chat together with a hot or cold drink after your fun group excursions.
